这句话很怪,我反正看不懂,不确定于法本身正确与否...
主语可以确定是“那个很通情达理的孩子”,
至于“isn't a cent”就不好解释了,
a cent有“一分”,“百分之一”的意思,
北美俚语里也有“not worth a red cent",一文不值的意思；
或者是not care a cent,毫不在乎的意思；
所以is not a cent就很朦胧了,
不知道是取“不是一分”的意思,还是取“不是随便”的意思,
这样就导致了两个意思：
